Galatians 6:9
9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
When I feel like me trying my hardest to live righteously and putting my Faith & Trust into God either isn’t enough or paying off, I refer to this verse.
It reinsures me that me doing right, being intentional, and seeking God is the mission and I need to keep staying focused.
1 Corinthians 13:11
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
When I get tempted and desire things and actions of my old ways, I refer to this verse.
It reminds me of who I used to be and of who I am now.
Matthew 6:33-34
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
When I get discouraged and feel as me striving to do right, fighting temptations, and just being the best version of myself isn’t enough, I refer to this verse.
It keeps me humbled and motivated. It motivates me to keep doing what I need to be doing. And, reminds me that I am on the right path.
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don’t worry about anyhting; instead, pray about everything, Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
When I become anxious and start to worry about the past, present, or future, I refer to this verse.
It humbles me and reminds me to be thankful for everything God has done and is doing for me.
