Written By: Dana S. Waller
I would like to begin by introducing myself. My name is Dana S. Waller; I am a 24 year black male and I am on a journey to understand what feminism means and how It wasn't until I met someone by the name of Tsz whom I had met while traveling for work, who happens to be a gender non-binary feminist, that opened my eyes and changed my whole perspective on how me being a male benefits me in so many ways by pointing out Male Privilege.
Male privilege is a term for social, economic, and political advantages or rights that are made available to men solely on the basis of their sex. A man's access to these benefits may also depend on other characteristics such as gender, sexual orientation, race, and social class.
Below I have compiled a very short list on the everyday male privileges. I hope the list helps you be more judicious of these privileges you and I have as a man. I realize that we must be accountable in balancing the lopsided scales of social injustice on gender.

2. Every major religion in the world is led by individuals of my sex
3. I am less likely to face sexual harassment at work than my female co-workers
4. If I apply for a job, my odds of being hired while going against a female applicant is in my favor

6. I can be aggressive and show confidence without being called a bitch
7. If I am having a bad day at work people won't assume it is because of my hormones
8. if I want to run for political office the topic of my sex won't be a topic of discussion
9. I won't ever be questioned on if what I was wearing, was sending the wrong message
10. If I choose to never marry I won't because people think I am not able to bare children
11. I'm not pressured to look a certain way or weigh a certain way as the opposite sex
